Lacie External Hard Disk with Raid 0 Data Recovery Service
Recently we receive a Lacie External Hard Disk from one of the customer to seek our help to retrieve the important data. He already approaches some of data recovery service to get back his data, but either one was success. So he decided to engage our data recovery service.
When our data recovery specialist first received this Lacie External Hard Disk, by looking at the hard disk, he found out that this External Hard Disk is a two-disk hard drive with Raid 0, which means that data can store in both disk to increase the read and write speed.
And now the problem we faced is to determine which hard disk had cause failure, how we going to clone out data from corrupted data address? So the first step, our data recovery specialist try to plugs in both hard disk to the data recovery tool, to figure out the begin sector, block size and disk order. Our data recovery specialist manages to find out that disk 1 is Master board record partitioning styles and disk 2 is Raid 0, and the partition start at 409640 for disk 2 Raid 0, and it is also a superblock with size of 204818 bytes
After found out those information, our data specialist uses some calculation method to find out the superblock for disk 2 is at sector 18 volume 40, so we need to one by one test the sector size to see whether it can fall on sector 18 volume 40.
Upon found the sector size is 8. Our data recovery specialist uses another data recovery tool to build a virtual block Raid simulate and check whether the data is really store at that address.
Surprising all data the can be found ! !
After that we clone out the data and transfer to a new hard disk drive.
