Commitment to Total Defence at SAF Day 2026

Receiving TOA
Most of us go about our daily lives without giving much thought to what keeps Singapore safe and stable. Businesses open as usual, people travel to work, and critical systems continue running in the background. That sense of normalcy is made possible by the dedication of many people serving behind the scenes.
As highlighted during SAF Day 2026 by Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, the security we enjoy every day is the result of continuous effort and commitment. At Ever Higher Data Recovery (EHDR), we believe that every local business has a role to play in supporting that foundation.

Standing Together at the SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony

On 1 July 2026, EHDR participated in the SAF Day 2026 Combined Rededication Ceremony (Zone 4) at Suntec City Convention Centre.
For us, attending the ceremony was more than fulfilling a corporate responsibility. It was an opportunity to show our appreciation for the National Servicemen who balance their civilian careers with their commitment to national defence.
Both of EHDR’s co-founders attended the ceremony personally. As business owners, we understand the importance of supporting our employees whenever they are called up for In-Camp Training (ICT) or other National Service duties. We want every member of our team to know that they can fulfil these responsibilities with our full support.

A Meaningful Recognition

The Zone 4 ceremony, organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), brought together 116 NSmen from 51 participating companies. Seeing employers and servicemen stand side by side to recite the SAF Pledge was a meaningful reminder that national defence extends beyond the military alone.
During the ceremony, EHDR was grateful to receive a Token of Appreciation presented by Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development.
We see this recognition not as an achievement, but as encouragement to continue building a workplace that supports National Service commitments and contributes positively to Singapore’s defence efforts.

Security Is Part of What We Do

Although our work focuses on recovering critical data, the principles behind what we do are not very different from those that support national resilience.
When organisations experience data loss, preparation often determines how quickly they recover. Reliable backup strategies, proper planning, and trusted recovery partners help businesses minimise disruption during unexpected situations.
In the same way, Singapore’s Total Defence relies on preparation, cooperation, and readiness long before a crisis occurs. While our responsibilities are different, we share the belief that resilience is built before it is tested.

Thank You to Our NSmen

We would like to thank our colleagues at EHDR who continue to serve as Operationally Ready National Servicemen, as well as all servicemen and servicewomen across Singapore.
Balancing work, family, and National Service is not always easy, and we appreciate the commitment that each of you continues to make.
EHDR remains committed to maintaining a supportive workplace for our NSmen while continuing to protect the critical data entrusted to us by businesses and organisations across Singapore.
Happy SAF Day to all our servicemen and servicewomen.
Majulah Singapura.
